Second Saturday this weekend!! Other places it may be just Saturday, but us? We celebrate all weekend long. Stop on down for one of our classic Porchetta Sandwiches. It's Roasted Italian Pork, Fresh Rapini, Provolone Cheese, and a housemade Truffle Mayo, all on a giant Olive Oil Panino, plus a side of Kettle Cooked Potato Chips for $15.99. Sounds simple enough, but this Porchetta is a star and we want it to shine. We make a version of this sandwich at least once a year, and it never disappoints. Beyond this weekend, we added a bunch of events coming up in the next couple of months -- including not one but TWO wine tastings -- so make sure to mark your calendars.
Wine Feature ⭐️
The feature this week is rated as one of the best single varietal Petite Sirahs out there, and at only $32.99, it's a steal: Trentadue 2021 La Storia Petite Sirah from Alexander Valley in California. One of the girls had a Petite Sirah tasting recently, and this bottle was pitted against some heavy hitters and came out on top, so we decided to bring it in. Trentadue is a beautiful property in the heart of Sonoma, and the family has been making wine there since the 1950s, with some of the vines over 120 years old. This sustainably produced bottle is primarily Petite Sirah with some Carignan, Syrah, and Zinfandel blended in to round it out. "Our La Storia Petite Sirah is as usually impressive and imposing with very dark, opaque color, beautiful nose of concentrated blueberries and blackberries that leads to a full body mouth feel with engagingly soft (for Petite Sirah) tannins. After short aeration, the nose opens with the addition of cocoa, violets, slight earthiness, and graphite followed by brown sugar and a touch of vanilla." When stored properly, this wine will age aother 5-8 years and get even more expressive, though don't get me wrong... it's good and ready to drink right now.
Wine Pick 🥂
Some of you may recall, a couple of wine lists ago, we poured a French Cabernet Franc called Le Grand Bouqueteau. It was then we learned just how many of you around here enjoy a nice Cab Franc... well, we now have their Rosé! Le Grand Bouqueteau 2023 Chinon Rosé from France's esteemed Loire Valley. "Made from 100% Cabernet Franc grown on the sandy soils of the Loire, this Rosé has wonderful aromatics and is the perfect wine to pair with all sorts of cuisine, although its ultimate purpose is to be drunk amongst friends, sitting in the shade! It combines the complexity of a red wine with the liveliness and brightness of a white wine; it is soft and perfumed, with good weight and presence, and finishes on crisp and gentle notes." With notes of blackcurrants and herbs and subtle tannins, it's extremely versatile -- try it with white or red meats, salmon, barbecue, or Asian fare. Take a bottle home with you for $18.99 and give it a try.
Food Features 🥩🥟
You know I love to pass along good deals to you... well we got two of them this week. First, Frozen Whole Beef Tenderloins, 6-7lb apiece for just $76.99. Normally a tenderloin this size will run you well over $100... probably closer to $150-175. Give me a call and we can start thawing one out for you to have this weekend. Second, a new ravioli! Fresh/Frozen Shrimp & Roasted Garlic Ravioli, ~1lb for $10.99. These will be absolutely delicious with a little seasoned butter or a lemon cream sauce, maybe some broccolini or a fresh salad on the side. Perfect quick and easy meal for a summer night.
Oyster Feature 🦪
We've got a handful of Pink Moons available, but we finally ordered something different this week... Copper Beech Oysters from Brandt Island Cove in Massachusetts. These seem somewhat rare... in fact, there might actually only be one oyster farmer there. Due to the remote location of the Copper Beech Oyster Farm, its owner uses a solar powered pump to feed the baby oysters. This helps grow a very large and firm oyster that has a briny and somewhat sweet taste to start with a crisp, lemon finish.

Well this weekend is Bastille Day, the day of my people, and it's one of the way too many holidays this year to fall on a Sunday.
