We’re going cheap and cheerful on our wine selections this week, we’ve got both whites and reds for you that will pair wonderfully with some great food selections.
Dan’s Wine Feature
This week’s feature is Twenty Bench Cabernet from California’s North Coast. Accurately described as “having aromas of fresh red fruits and black currant dominate. On the palate expressive flavors of cassis, blackberry, cigar box, dark chocolate, and vanilla spice. It finishes with firm structure and silky tannins”. Nationally advertised at $22.49 we have it at a much, much better price allowing you to get some great ribeyes or beef tenderloin out of our cooler for your grill this weekend. Priced at only $14.99 it leaves plenty of room for a couple great steaks. We’ve hand selected a great summer red and hand cut some great steaks for you to enjoy.
Dan’s Wine Pick
My pick this week is Colombelle from the Gascogne region of France, wines from this region rarely disappoint me. Colombelle is a blend of 80% Colombard and 20% Sauvignon Blanc and is only priced at $10.99. I’ve been wanting to choose this wine as a pick for several weeks but have continuously sold out before Thursday. It won’t happen this week, I brought in plenty of this crisp, cool and delicious white to make sure you all have an opportunity to try it. Paired alongside some Barramundi or fresh Salmon and you’ve got a great experience ahead of you.
