Smoking Goose Ham, Rack of Lamb, or Fresh Salmon...

What's on your Easter table this year?

Hours of Operation

Monday - Tuesday, 10am to 6pm

Wednesday - Saturday, 10am to 8pm

Calendar 🗓

March 30 (Saturday) - Lamb-O-Rama is back! Come enjoy a plate of rotisserie-smoked leg of lamb, orzo salad, pickled vegetables, and a side of naan. We always have a great time during this annual event, so hope to see you there. No reservations needed, 12p-8pm.

April 8 (Monday) - SOLAR ECLIPSE!!!!! 🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔 We will be open until 8pm on this auspicious Monday with special seating including additional patio space, themed food and drink specials... everything we can think of, and believe you me, we've been thinking about it for a while. Call and reserve your patio table today ($75) before they sell out! We have no idea what Findlay will be like on this day, but we can't wait to find out.

April 13 (Saturday) - Second Saturday, details TBD. We might still be recovering from the eclipse.

April 19 (Friday) - We're not sure what we're doing this day yet either, but we will be doing something to celebrate 419 Day alongside the rest of Downtown Findlay.

News 🗞

Lamb-O-Rama is this Saturday! It's not exactly normal for it to fall on the same weekend as a holiday, but hey, what can you do? We always do it this same weekend. I know many of you are out of town, and we will definitely miss seeing you here, but for those of you who are: please come and join us! Bring your friends and family members, and we'll treat you all to a good meal. Might as well let us do it before you cook up a feast the next day. We'll have rotisserie-smoked leg of lamb with feta-filled orzo salad, some house-pickled vegetables, and a side of naan. Plus we'll have some baklava for dessert, which I know you always love, and wine specials picked out to go with specifically with the meal. I sincerely hope to see you there. And for those of you who bought the Smoking Goose hams for Sunday, they are ready and waiting in the store -- don't forget to come pick them up!

Wine Feature ⭐️

The feature this week is for those who are pairing with lamb... or who just love a big, beautiful red wine. It is Elderton 2019 Barossa Shiraz. Elderton was founded just a generation ago by Neil and Lorraine Ashmead, who purchased a homestead in Australia to raise their family and got some derelict vineyards as part of the deal. They restored the vineyard and have turned it into a powerhouse of Australian wine. Their two sons now run the business, and their daughter-in-law, Julie Ashmead -- a fifth-generation winemaker in her own family -- heads winemaking. This Shiraz is a staple of their portfolio: "A rich and vibrant dark purple. Black forest fruits, dark chocolate and vanilla with hints of coconut and creme caramel. Plum and berries, chocolate and a spice finish. Full-bodied, rich, classic. On the palate dark plum fruits and chocolate with subtleties of anise and spice. A seamless tannin profile elevates the fruit providing depth and length to the finish. Drink now or cellar confidently for 10 to 15 years from vintage." This $34.99 bottle is a great choice for any occasion... now or in 10 years.

Wine Pick 🥂

We're starting in on the rosés!!! The pick this week is Maison Lorgeril 2023 Ô de Rosé from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. I may be biased, but French rosés are the best rosés, and Languedoc, which is just west of Provence, provides great value. This bottle is a blend of 60% Grenache, 35% Syrah, and 5% Viognier. The vineyards are rooted in the foothills of the Massif Central, between the Pyrenees and Mediterranean. This unique patchwork of climates and terroirs creates a setting in which the grapes are slowly matured in perfect weather conditions to produce an elegantly balanced wine. Peach in color, it has ripe strawberries, citrus, and spring flowers on the palate and a crisp saline finish. Truly a rosé that anyone can enjoy and that at $19.99 would be a nice pairing for almost any lighter meal.

Food Feature 🥩

The wait is over, folks... the second order from our custom dry aging program through Buckhead Meats is in today!!! This time what we have for you is 22lbs of 32-day Dry Aged Prime Strip Loin, just $25.99/lb. I still can't believe we get such a good deal on this meat that we can then pass along to you. We have it trimmed, cut, packaged, and ready to head out the door with you. If you don't know what makes dry aging so good, allow me to briefly explain... In this process that goes back millennia, moisture is drawn out of the meat, creating a crust on the exterior which we then trim off. What remains is an evenly moist interior that now has concentrated flavor. Enzymes have also broken down, creating a nutty, savory note and more tender texture. Many of you were blown away by the quality of the cuts we got last time, and we're very excited to finally have them back in. And just so you don't miss it in the Market Items section below, we also got a killer deal on some 36oz Frenched Long Bone Ribeyes that were intended for Morton's Steakhouse. There, one of these will cost you $129, but with us... $44.99! Now that Lent is over... go wild and celebrate with the good stuff!

Oyster Feature 🦪

We've got a different oyster for you this week, Princetowns from Thunder Cove, PEI. They are farmed just inland from the coast and are fed by the tide going in and out each day. In contrast to last week's oysters, these 3-inch beauties should have a smooth and powerful salinity with notes of seaweed. They'll be fantastic on the half shell.
