WINE NEWS…
Just trying to keep the racks full and special orders in. We’ve got some great wines and some great beers to help get you through this holiday weekend.
Dan’s Wine Feature
This week’s feature is J.Lohr 2017 Hilltop Cabernet from Paso Robles, California. This is one of those bottles that just got lost for a moment or two. J.Lohr wines have been very strong for us this past year, their Pure Paso, Merlot and Chardonnay have all done well. When we last had this bottle in it was also a big seller, so without reservation we decided to bring it back. For $29.99 you’ll be quite pleased with this Cabernet, Wine Enthusiast described this 90+ wine as, "a very reliable bottling offering fudge, caramel, black cherry and oak on the nose. Cola and sarsaparilla meet with black-cherry foam on the palate, where creamy tannins and just enough acidity carry into the finish." Sure, that sounds great to me but you should probably stop in and pick up a few bottles just to see for yourself.

Dan’s Pick
Already did this, but since more was found in the warehouse we’re doing it again, Boen 2016 SMV (Santa Marie Valley) Pinot Noir regularly $29.99 NOW $19.99. This is hard to beat. It sold out really quick on our last shipment and many have asked for more…well, it’s back and I’m pretty sure this week’s delivery will last about as long as the first one. Give us a call and we’ll hold some back for you.

Food News

Final Thought
It’s been a rough few months for all of us and it’s probably going to be awhile before we’re through all this. But, do take a few moments on Thanksgiving and remember the many pleasant memories of past celebrations and maybe even give some thought to the celebrations that we all have ahead of us. Believe it or not, there are quite a few things that we all can still be thankful for.
Please, please continue safe practices and please bring a mask when you come visit us at the store.
Cheers from all of us here at The Wine Merchant
