Art Walk. We'll have local artist Shawn Wallenfelsz here to display his art, so stop on down and check out his stuff. We will as always be hosting a Wine Tasting in the store from 5-7pm, 4 wines for $20, and our friend Kalyn who represents these wines will be coming down to help us out, so make sure to say hi to her. The bar will be open late until 9pm, and the Food Feature will be the return of a former fan favorite, Blue Chips! Kettle cooked potato chips baked with blue cheese and blue cheese sauce, bacon and/or jalapeño optional. Serving both Friday night and Saturday all day while supplies last.

Wine Feature ⭐️
This is a wine we got in last week, and it's too good of a deal to not talk about: Stonestreet 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an Alexander Valley Cab, so from the northern part of Sonoma just north of Healdsburg where the weather starts to get hotter and the elevation higher, more suitable for big reds than the rest of Sonoma. Stonestreet itself is a sustainable and eco-friendly winery located on the western side of the Mayacamas Mountains, where on the property there are 26 soil types and 2000 feet of elevation change. The grapes grow small, thick-skinned, and very distinct in character. From the winemaker: "This Estate Cabernet Sauvignon fully expresses the diversity of its prolific Alexander Valley mountain site that ranges from 400' to 2000' in elevation. Savory aromas of blackberry, dark plum, blood orange, Star Anise and black cherry. The palate is rich and inviting with framed tannins and incredible length." Usually $67.99, we've got this special bottle priced at $45.99, so take that extra $22 and buy yourself a treat. We've got plenty of other wines priced at $20... just saying.

Wine Pick 🥂
Another great deal this week, the Langry Farms 2022 Lillie's Collection Red Wine. This bottle is normally $19.99 and sold to restaurants only, so we snagged a case last week after we tasted it with our vendor. Langtry Farms is located in Guenoc Valley, just north of Napa, but the grapes in this bottle come from the surrounding Lake County AVA. It consists of organically farmed Malbec (49%), Cabernet Sauvignon (28%), Petite Sirah (21%), and Petit Verdot (2%). This red blend is "medium-bodied wine with aromas of black fruits, dried sage and tobacco. Silky tannins, with flavors of blackberry and chocolate, juicy acidity, and a smooth finish." The winery was founded all the way back in 1888 by British actress Lillie Langtry, and this line of wines is of course named in her honor. An approachable, easy-drinking, quality red wine on sale for only $12.99.

Oyster Selection 🦪
Pleasant Bays this week from outer Cape Cod near Orleans, Massachusetts. These are... well frankly, they're enormous. Probably averaging out around 4 inches in size. "Classic Atlantic brininess with high salinity, a crisp and clean finish, a buttery texture, and a sweet aftertaste."

Final Thoughts 💬
It’s been a pretty, pretty busy week down here and as the calendar shows there’s little to no let up on the horizon… We’re bringing in everything and then some for the upcoming holidays, another week or so and we’ll lay it all out. So hold on to your hats, Xmas music is already playing in the stores (not here!!!) Ho, Ho, NO!
Cheers from all of us here at the Wine Merchant!
