September 26 (Saturday) - Oktoberfest in Downtown Findlay, and not one but TWO things going down here at the Wine Merchant:
German Brunch, 12-2pm. Four courses of German goodness. Reservations required.
Food special, 2-8pm: German Pizza the rest of the day while supplies last.
October 19 (Monday) - Bites & flights with MollyDooker, 5-7pm. Reservations required. (Full - waitlist only)

Hall Napa Valley 2022 Cabernet $45.99
- I’ve always enjoyed Kathryn Hall wines and as there classic Cabernet which was normally priced at $70.00 from the winery we were able to snag a few at this special price just for you.
Newton “The Puzzle” 2019 Cabernet $41.99
-This bottle has a story, Newton burned down during the Napa Valley fires but stored securely off site was a warehouse full of this very wine, Southern Glazer the largest distributor nationally purchased it all I was given the opportunity to buy 10 cases, we only got 5 and they sold out in 48 hours, some how, some way we were able to purchase 3 more and that’s what we have for you this weekend. Always sold at over a $100 a bottle but not this weekend and not for you.
Ramirez de la Piscina Crianza 2021 $15.99
-This wine has been in our racks for over a year and became a hit so we would try always to keep it in stock but when our sales rep sent us notice that they were dropping the price to this we simply said thank you and ordered up a few cases. Every one loves a bargain and we love sharing them with you.
Black Slate 2021 Gratallops 2021 $18.99/$13.99
-Black Slate has always been our best bottle representing the Priorat region of Spain, we’ve just always had it and loved it so when notice came that this wine had a “post off” price I immediately called the distributor and asked for the vintage the response was “current” meaning it was the same bottle yet at almost half the price as before…we bought it all…just for you! The per bottle price is the first figure the second is the per bottle case price, a great deal on a bottle, a steal on the case price!
Ranga Ranga 2021 Sauvignon Blanc $9.99
-AI gives an overview saying ”Ranga Ranga Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, value-driven New Zealand white wine from the Marlborough region, priced around $12 to $15” Whoa…My Intelligence says the same except…we have it at $9.99!!!

From the maker of Belle Gloss, Joey Wagner of Copper Cane we have three new wines “Westoff Pioneers”wines that pay homage to old world wines but yet are produced in California. The first is the Red Top Bottle comprised of Zinfandel, Cabernet and Petite Sirah. The Green Top Bottle is comprised of Italian varietals, Sagrantino, Teroldego, Nero D’Avolo and Negro Amaro. The Blue Top Bottle is comprised of traditional French varietals, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. These wines are brand new to the store and go for $49.99 a bottle and if you were ever a fan of Boen Pinot Noir or any of the Belle Glos Pinots then you’re sure to be a fan of these, all bottles are above 14% ABV and drink like silk. All are big smooth delicious wines that come from a great family of winemakers.

Nineteen years ago Friday after being in business for 4 days we decided to do a wine tasting, remember downtown was in the cleaning, clearing out and demo of the flood. The overall economy was in recession, it seemed like the perfect thing to do…buy the Wine Merchant and have a wine tasting, you know looking back it was. Starting our 20th year, the right way, with all of you that have made this journey possible.
