WINE NEWS…
We’re slowly bringing in some new wines, without meeting with sales reps it makes it a bit more difficult. However, we had a few opportunities recently and we brought them in. Tomorrow there will be quite a few new wines in the store and we’re planning on doing a second post on Facebook and Instagram to welcome them in and to share them with you. We’ve got plenty of wine here to share with you, stop in, say hi and we’ll help you pick out something great. We have a couple Cheap and Cheerful bottles for the pick and feature this week.
Dan’s Wine Feature
From Cantina Di Ruvo in Puglia, Italy we have Castel Del Monte Rosso, whereas in the past we have carried it’s big sister we now have this simple Red Blend of Nero Di Troia and other accompanying varietals. It’s just what you need for an easy drinking Italian Red that will go great with pizza, pasta or foods off the grill. For $9.99 you can’t beat it, line priced with it’s big sister makes these wines not only a bargain but a great choice to have on hand, to share and enjoy with almost whatever you’re having.

Our pick, another great value from the Southwest of France is Saint Mont Heritage White Blend 65% Gros Manseng, 30% Petit Courbu and 5% Arrufiac. We tried this $9.99 blend last night and were very pleased, pair this with any fish or white meat and you’ll see why we really enjoyed this new blend. Perfect for the patio or the dinner table, an all-purpose white that is both fresh and crisp on the palate, what’s not to like about that. See you soon…
FOOD NEWS…
There’s always something new coming in but we still like a few of our favorites. Ranch Girl Ribeyes are always a favorite and this week we brought in something new, Bluefin Tuna something quite decadent. We’re hand cutting big beautiful bone in pork loin chops and at $5.99 per 1lb chop they’re a bargain. We’re always looking for great deals to share with you and we can always find a great bottle of wine or a few beers to enjoy with your meal.
Food Feature of the Week
Barramundi is my food feature of the week, having seen this fish at a food show years ago we discussed bringing this in for a dinner, and then promptly forgot about it…But, when meeting with a supplier it was presented back to us and we brought it in. This is a filet that will fill your plate, meaty and buttery this Australian import is something everyone needs to try. Simply cooked on the stove top at medium heat with butter, garlic and a little salt and pepper. When the thin part of the filet changes to white take the pan to the oven and broil for just a few minutes until the fish fully turns white and maybe the butter and garlic turn a light brown. That’s it, wilt a little spinach and spritz with lemon and you’ve got dinner! We have some great crisp, dry whites that will pair wonderfully with this meal, stop in and pick up a few tonight, I know they’ll make you happy.

Final Thought
Well, we didn’t get to host our Rosé at the end of May with you and obviously Huhn in June will not be held. These are events that we always look forward to and enjoy having.
