Honest to goodness bargains! It’s apparently Pinot Season here at the Wine Merchant. Two great deals on Pinots! If you enjoy this varietal these are a great buy for you.

Archery Summit Dundee Hills 2016 Pinot Noir WAS $59.99, NOW $37.99. When you see a deal such as this you buy it! Described by the winemaker as, “seductive and elegant wine leads with vibrant floral notes of lilac and violet. These floral components are joined by touches of cherry, red raspberry, blood orange, and a hint of cocoa powder. Secondary notes of black licorice, berry bramble, and rosemary complement the leading fruit flavors. The flavors are persistent and saturating, enveloping the palate and lingering through a refined, balanced finish”. I already knew most of that but what I wasn’t aware of was the new price that was available to us. Both the price and vintage won’t last long. Pick up a few of these highly acclaimed Pinots soon before they’re all gone.

Sineann 2016 Pinot Noir WAS $31.99, NOW $22.99. Sineann has always been a staple but usually as a big red blend. When we were offered great prices on both the Pinot and their Cabernet we definitely took advantage. Usually single vineyard produced wines, their Pinot that we have to offer is simply a blend of their best vineyards. Tried, tested and true, we already have a customer coming back for more and I purchased additional cases for next week. A great Pinot at a great price, this versatile varietal will be great with whatever you're serving or, simply by itself for an evening glass of wine on the patio.

Food Feature of the Week
Yahoo for Wahoo! What’s Wahoo? It’s a warm water Pacific Ocean fish most commonly known as, ‘Ono” in Hawaii, because that translates to delicious. Dense, tight grained white fish that will go perfectly on the grill. We cooked a bit up down here and made some wahoo tacos and they were delicious. There’s a variety of ways to prepare this fish and we enjoyed it so much we ordered another 10lbs for next week. If you’re dreaming of the shore, here’s a great piece of fish to remind you what the seaside tastes like and at $9.99 a pound, you’ll have plenty left over for tortillas and salsa…
PROVISIONS…
If you had a trip to the shore scheduled for this summer…well, most likely it was cancelled. So once again it’s seafood week for provisions at The Wine Merchant. We’ve got all the foods you were planning on having at the shore.
