Dan’s Wine Feature

Canvas Back Cabernet is back in stock and we’re willing to share it with you. This Columbia Valley Red Mountain Cabernet from Duckhorn was a favorite during the holidays and we were able to bring some back in. I’ve always said Red Mountain fruit produces some of my favorite wines and add a producer like Duckhorn and you can’t go wrong. Order a couple Ribeyes and Idaho bakers from us and this bottle and I think you have dinner planned for tomorrow night!

Dan’s Wine Pick of the Week

It’s all of our new Rose’s but if I have to pick one as my official Pick, it’s Honoro Vero 2019 Rose’ from Spain of course! Consistently great year after year not only have we been waiting for it, I know many of you have as well. It’s here, ready and waiting for your fridge!

Food Feature of the Week

I’m going with the steak of the seafood world, Halibut! Not sure where it’s from but I don’t care this big, meaty fish, just had this for lunch and now I remember why I bought this. Olive oil, butter, oregano, salt, pepper, artichokes at 400 degrees in the oven for 11 minutes and you will have a great dinner. Why did we choose these ingredients…we had them, season it well, plenty of good olive oil and butter and you’re set!

Final Thought

Another week goes by…What’s our plan for reopening, a lot still remains to be seen. We do however know that we will not be opening our doors as a restaurant or as a bar anytime soon. Social distancing for both is impractical to the layout of the store. Shopping, we have to set up sanitizing stations at each entrance and we will be limiting the number allowed in the store at any one time. I know, I know, most of you probably think I’m this liberal, rules be damned kind of guy, not so much the truth when it comes to safety and security. Whichever path we take, we intend to keep both you and our staff safe, secure and healthy. There’s no real answers at this time, just thoughts on what direction we will be taking.
