Dan’s Feature

This week its Field Recording’s “FRANC” oh yeah, it’s Cabernet Franc. This 2018 new wine to the store is only $18.99 and comes to us from Paso Robles, stylistically all California with a rustic punch of blueberries, black cherries and red currents with a touch of mint and rosemary. I was very fortunate to share lunch with Andrew Jones the wine maker last week and was impressed with his full line-up. So, we brought them all in and have these new great wines for you to enjoy.

Dan’s Pick’s

This week’s pick is Fleurs de Prairie Rose”. This 2019 Rose’ from Provence is just what you need. This all-purpose Rose’ will fit the bill for lunch or dinner fare. We always get excited for the new Rose’ releases and this has always been one of our favorites. This wine was slated to be #2 at this Friday’s tasting but as you’re all well aware that’s just not going to happen. So my suggestion, come on down and pick out a #1,#3 and a#4 and have your own in home tasting, it’s a great way to start the weekend or maybe more importantly…a great way to end the week.

Final Thought

Our greatest wish is that we see you all very soon and while that may not be the case we want everyone to continue to be safe and healthy and follow and adhere to the governments requests. There will continue to be a few of us in the store to ride this out to the end and I think many of us already know future non-essential closings will be coming soon. Until then stay well, be careful so that we can all gather again…

Cheers from all of us here at The Wine Merchant
