Just one event on our calendar to finish out the year... for the final Second Saturday of 2024, we are serving up a bowl of Beef Vegetable Soup. If you're looking for something to do or if you simply want to combat this cold weather, come join us. It's made from scratch and has been simmering away, so the broth should be 👌 Now for your own table, please keep in mind that our orders and deliveries will be shifted over the next few weeks because of the holidays, so if you want anything specific ordered in, whether for your table or for a gift, please do your best to make the request within the next week so that we can get it safely in for you. We'll of course accommodate all the requests we can, but the sooner, the better. Wine deliveries vary, but food requests are due by 4pm on December 19 -- that's the latest we can submit our order. For beef, we are featuring Prime Rib and Beef Tenderloin, both Prime and Choice and a small amount of Dry-Aged. We are also have our usual variety of Seafood options (Shrimp, Scallops, Lobster, Salmon), with the addition of a very limited quantity of King Crab. Several options, so if you'd decided what you're serving, hopefully we have it for you, and if you haven't, come and chat with us and we'll figure it out together.
Wine Feature ⭐️
For a change of pace, we are featuring a white wine this week: Louis Jadot 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé for $37.99. Pouilly-Fuissé is one of France's most famous wine regions for Chardonnay. It is an appellation with the Mâconnais region of Burgundy, known for Chardonnays that are hefty, fruity, and the best ones with just a note of hazelnut. The winemaker, Louis Jadot, is one of the biggest names in Burgundy. "The House of Louis Jadot has been producing exceptional Burgundy wines since its founding in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. For the past 150 years Louis Jadot has continued as one of the great names of Burgundy and has gained international reputation for its superb red and white Burgundy wines." There is a wide range of Jadot wines, but this one is a very nice option at a decent price point, especially when it comes to Burgundies, which can be quite expensive. "This wine has aromas of fresh red apples, honey and white flowers with elegant and rich flavors of toasted nuts and citrus. One of the purest expressions of this typical Burgundian grape. Drink with roasted salmon, shellfish or creamy cheeses." A beautiful wine that can pair with almost anything.

I went white, so now I'm going red... Kate Arnold 2021 Cabernet France out of Columbia Valley, Washington. Kate Arnold is a family-owned winery located in Washington, but they make wines with grapes sourced from all over the West Coast, often single-vineyard wines to truly showcase the characteristics of a particular location. Kate, the winemaker -- who is actually from Ohio and grew up competing at the Ohio State Fair -- lives an organic lifestyle, so the wines are minimal intervention with no sugars, no concentrates, no additives. In fact, each bottle has a QR code that you can scan to see exactly what is in the wine. This Cab Franc with 91 points from Wine Enthusiast is from Beverly Vineyard, one of the warmest spots in Washington . It is 100% Cab Franc with notes of dark fruit, raspberry, and granite with a structured tannic finish. If you like Cab Francs like us, or if you haven't had one yet, try it for $27.99.
Food Feature 🎄
Our features this week are our packages and suggestions for Christmas and New Year's. We're here to make things easier for you, and that includes brainstorming. For Christmas, our suggestions are the Prime Dry-Aged Bone-In Prime Rib for $32.99/lb or Crab-Stuffed Salmon. We have our Faroe Islands Salmon for $18.99/lb and Lump Crab for $26.99/lb. We mix the crab with cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper, maybe some spinach or sun-dried tomato. Slice the fish in half horizontally, fold back, and stuff away. I like to glaze the top and then bake for 30 minutes or so. It's a fantastic and different option that will impress everyone at your table. For New Year's Eve, we are offering a Surf & Turf deal for $75. It includes two 6oz Tenderloins, 2 4oz Lobster Tails, Au Gratin Potatoes, and a bottle of Sparkling Wine. What else could you need? Finally, for New Year's Day, we are suggesting our Bone-In Heritage Pork Roasts for $8.99/lb and Weisswurst Traditional Bavarian Veal Sausage, also $8.99/lb.
