Since 1948, Bowman & Landes have been raising turkeys in New Carlisle, Ohio. They've become one of the industry's most well-respected producers, raising 80,000 premium turkeys per year. Their turkeys are raised in a free-range environment on their 145-acre farm, where they're able to take in the fresh Ohio air and sunshine and are provided with water, feeders and outdoor shelters for shade. Their turkeys are never administered antibiotics and are fed a vegetarian diet consisting of the corn and soybeans they personally grow. The grains they harvest are ground on their farm, mixed with vitamins and minerals, and are fed fresh to the turkeys.… All of this for only $5.49 per pound you tell us the size we simply place your order and you pick it up Tuesday Nov. 23 or Wednesday the 24th, If you’re in the market for one of these tasty birds give us a call!

There appears to be different takes on the wine supply chain: there are the doom and gloom who forecast shortages for the holidays and then there are the ones who argue that in the very near future there will be some products that overwhelm the market because of too many orders coming in at once. We have no idea which theory is correct, but we do know this we’re bringing wine in to the store in greater quantities than ever before so that either way we’re ready…

Dan’s Pick
My pick for this week is Dr. Hans VonMuller Riesling. Riesling by nature is the most versatile white wine and when it’s a new Kabinett from the Mosel Germany you know it’s bound to be good. Monsieur Touton Imports is an importer of fine wines that we have learned to trust. We have a fair selection from this importer and were excited to bring in this new wine. It is described as sweet, crisp and refreshing with ripe fruits like pear, honeydew melon and sweet lime. Juicy and velvety on the tongue with a touch of acid and strong ripe fruit bouquet of ripe peaches and apples with a kiss of petrol scent to indicate location. This $17.99 fresh young wine is a bottle that can be enjoyed now with whatever the fare is at your tailgate or your table.

We haven’t been noticing as many price increases in the past few days but at the same time prices aren’t coming down either. We’ve already begun negotiating for Prime Rib for the holidays and looking for all the specialty food items you may want for your celebrations. Final Thought
Over the past 15 years we’ve certainly had a lot of customers…there’s one couple however that’s been here almost since the very beginning. When we first met them they most likely had just celebrated their 40th anniversary, tomorrow night we will be having a private dinner for them, family and friends to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary.
