First beer tasting of 2020…Central Waters from Wisconsin will be our number one and two and Urban Artifact of Ohio will provide us with numbers three and four…#1 will be Horse Shoes and Hand Grenades HHG Pale Ale. #2, Unsettled a big hoppy and hazy brew that may or may not leave you unsettled… Urban Artifact Spyglass is #3 a lemon lime, golden sour ale. To finish this first tasting off we’ll enjoy Cherry Jubilee, an Ale that’s brewed with Balaton cherries, vanilla beans and cinnamon. Unique, new and exciting, just the way this years starting out…

Dan’s Feature

Walt 2016 Blue Jay Pinot Noir Is my pick for this week. Walt comes to us from Katherine Hall, Hall Vineyards in Napa. This $44.99 Pinot Noir has always been my favorite and while I don’t always have it in, six bottles came in today making it without doubt my feature. If you enjoy Pinot like I do, this bottle will surely bring a smile to your face.

Dan’s Pick

One of our biggest, if not the biggest selling red blend this holiday season was Pure Paso from J. Lohr. This beautiful $24.99 Red Blend of Cabernet and Petite Sirah will go with anything you’re serving, and if it’s simply an empty glass, so much the better. Cold nights and red wine make this an easy go to bottle, stop by and pick up a couple of these…

Friday/Saturday Special

Meatballs! This week with Alfredo Sauce… Sure we’ll top it with a little Romano and you’ll be good to go. Forget the Turkey, Pork or Prime Rib you had during the holidays, it’s time to enjoy these cold weather favorites…

Final Thought

Damn I’m getting old, a new year means, oh yeah…another birthday. Life goes on and we’re ready for another year having all of you in as guests, friends and of course, customers. Moving towards that 13 year mark , I’m just happy everyday for who I have sharing the responsibilities with me, they’re the best, you’re the best and I’m running away to Mexico for the week, Adios…

Cheers from all of us here at The Wine Merchant
