Well it’s got to be my hidden secret bottle from Reynolds Family Wines. Listen to this!!! The 2018 Persistence By Reynolds Family Winery was named Red Wine Of The Year with a classic score of 96 points which secures second spot in the winner's list of Sommeliers Choice Awards.
With a core of ripe bing cherry and briary fruits, the wine is not only dense, but supple on the palate. It's brilliant acidity makes this a perfect pairing for a wide variety of foods or great just on its own. Most importantly, we still have some but the real kicker is it’s $44.99. Originally, and everyday, it’s price is always $65.99 and the 2019 vintage will go up to $75.99! This Napa Bordeaux style blend is such a great wine and such a great value that you can’t go wrong in buying a few of these great deals!

So the story goes, two sisters nine years and 6,700 miles apart one growing up in Monterey California the other in New Zealand through the power of internet recognize that they share the same father and coincidentally the same passion. The story of these two making contact, discovering their passion and producing award-winning wines is a great tale to behold. This week’s pick is McBride Sisters 2020 Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough NZ for $16.99. Besides being a heart-warming Christmas-style story, these ladies coming together produce unbelievable wines and even more unbelievable is that we can still find a current vintage of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. If this is your varietal, then this is your wine!
Food News
I have until 11 am tomorrow (Wednesday) to get any additional specialty foods in for a Thursday delivery. CAB choice Tenderloins have gone up $3 a pound for any new orders and we’re trying to hold our Prime Rib Roasts at $16.99lb. Just let us know this evening or tomorrow morning and we’ll hopefully take care of any last minute requests for you.
Food Feature of the Week
We’re building some very special dinner boxes for this year’s upcoming New Year’s Eve. Each dinner box is made for two and will include: Brie, Demi Baguette and French Strawberry Jam, (2) CAB Choice Ribeye Filets, (2) 4oz Lobster tails, (2) Au Gratin potatoes, Haricot Verts for two, a box of Macarons and, of course, a bottle of Sparkling— all from France.
