We appreciate your business and your friendship, so thank you. We will continue working hard to make sure we have the best options possible for you and your table. Speaking of table... I hope you'll join us this weekend for another Weekend Special, Choripán Sandwiches. We've only done this once before, but it was a big hit, so we're going for it again. Choripán is a very popular street food in Argentina, and it consists of Argentinian Chorizo on warm, crusty bread with a housemade chimichurri and salsa criolla. Warm and comforting yet fresh and bright, the perfect sandwich perhaps? I don't know, I say that about most of them. Serving Friday and Saturday while supplies last. It's also worth mentioning that now that Fall is here, the Frozen Slushie you look forward to every year is back, Frozen Bourbon Apple Cider, freshly made and ready to drink.
Wine Feature ⭐️
Another deal this week from the beautiful Napa Valley, Yates Family Vineyard 2019 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon. Now this is not an everyday bottle for most as it's priced at $65.99, but the current 2022 vintage is available online for $95, so this is $30 off a fantastic bottle of Cab with two more years of age on it. (Not to mention Sterling produces a bottle with this same exact fruit for $140...) If you aren't familiar with Mount Veeder, it's the first peak in Napa when you're driving north from Carneros, so it still benefits from some of those cooling Pacific Ocean breezes. It's also an ancient seabed, so the soil is full of minerals that give the wine depth and complexity. Not to mention the high elevation at 1100 feet with the strong sun that leads to berries with intense flavor concentration. All of this comes together in this bottle, 100% estate Cabernet Sauvignon from the Yates family who have been growing grapes in that location for 75 years. You'll get notes of rich plum, blackberry, rhubarb pie, rose, licorice, leather, and clove. Chelsea called this "a rollercoaster of flavor" as it changes with almost every sip, so grab one or two and give it a try while you can.

An easy-drinking, easy on the wallet Chianti, Borghetto 2025 Chianti from the heart of Tuscany. Borghetto is a line by Bonacchi, a family-owned company who arrived in Tuscany in the 13th century and started producing wine in the 19th, and somewhere along the way they acquired the Borghetto estate. This Chianti is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo. No, not cannoli... Canaiolo is another Italian red grape indigenous to Tuscany that just smooths out the acidity and adds a little body to Sangiovese. It's a medium-bodied red with fresh red fruit, cherries and plums, with a hint of spice and licorice. As I said, goes down real easy, and at $11.99 a bottle, it won't break the bank. A great red for this weather and a Friday night pizza.
