Dan’s Wine Feature
Bodegas Juan Gil‘s 2018 Blue Label from Spain is back in stock! Whereas we have tried to always have his products on stock it’s the Blue label that more are drawn to possibly because an intense aroma of ripe black fruit and toast with a smoky nose. Or simply because this very modern, yet nicely matured wine exhibits very ripe and almost creamy black fruits, spicy flavors and ends with notes of well integrated oak and ripe sweet tannins. This week we have an exceptional blend of Monastrell, Cabernet and Syrah from one of the wine worlds best producers now in the racks for $39.99. This vintage and these bottles won't last long make sure you get one soon.
Dan’s Pick
Cliff Lede’s 2018 Fel Pinot Noir from Anderson is my pick for this week. All 3 of my favorite Pinot’s are back in stock. Fel is a surprisingly intense wine that retains its elegance and delicacy. The aromatics are dominated by dark flavors of Earl Grey tea, cassis, black licorice, and ganache. Hints of Spanish Cedar and cloves add further spice, while black cherry, the signature fruit of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, provides the backbone. In the mouth, layers of spice and fruit continue with flavors of blood orange, pomegranate, persimmon, and more black cherry mingle with notes of black tea, dark chocolate, and anis. The bright acid and silky tannins give the wine a fresh vibrancy. This 90+ rated wine at $36.99 is quite the value. With Fel, Au Bon Climat and Walt back in stock I can be Pinot pleased and hope that everyone gets an opportunity to try all of them!
Food News
I know it’s 22 days away but if you’re looking for a “Prime” piece of Prime Rib, December 18th will be our cutoff for ordering. For prime standing rib roasts, we simply need to know the bone count or weight and we’ll take it from there. Beef Tenderloin, Salmon Filet, Lobster Tails, King Crab or some delicious large shrimp for Christmas we’ll get in whatever you’re looking for. Our last order day for these items will be Dec. 21 for a next day delivery on Tuesday Dec. 22. Make your Holiday food shopping just a little simpler this year, we can help take care of most you’re special requests for a well deserved Holiday meal.

Once again, Fish have prevailed, we just received Fresh Halibut that came in as the best piece we’ve ever seen. Fresh Ruby Red Trout Filet came in again and of course everyone’s favorite Fresh Salmon. Toss in a case of 5 to 6oz cold water frozen lobster tails, oysters and scallops and we pretty much have things covered.

Final Thought
Not real sure anymore what December holds for all of us, all we can do is move forward and hope for the best. This week was the beginning of our shopping season and we brought in plenty! I’ve been working hard each week to purchase off a reasonably established budget, that didn’t happen this week. We’re doing our best to have available items for the holidays that you have become accustomed to, please shop early, place any special orders of items you may need and let us know anything we can do to help you through these uncertain days.
